How often should my dog be groomed?
This will depend on your dog’s coat and breed. As a general rule, most dogs get groomed every 4 to 6 weeks. We recommend you book in advance and have a scheduled repeat booking with us in order to avoid disappointment.
How long will it take?
The time required depends on a number of things, such as what your dog has done, the length and complexity of the clip and the temperament of the dog. Your dog’s general health can also affect how long the groom may take. We groom several dogs each day so sometimes our days can be quite unpredictable. Therefore, unfortunately, we cannot give you an exact time when your dog will be ready. Instead, we will call or send you a text message to notify you as soon as your dog is finished and ready to go home. When you book your appointment, we will give you a time for you to drop off your dog, and then as soon as your dog is ready, you will be contacted.
Please do not call us to see if your dog is done – we’ll contact you as soon as they’re ready.
Stopping to answer calls really slows us down, as it interrupts our flow and takes us away from our very special clients. Similarly, if you turn up before your dog is finished, you could distract your dog, making it anxious and stressed as it tries to get to you. This can make it difficult and extremely dangerous for both the groomer and your dog, as aiming at a moving target with sharp scissors and blades could be a disaster! It may even make it impossible to complete the groom. If you do need your dog finished by a certain time, just let us know at the time you make your booking, or prior to the day of your appointment.
Can I stay and watch?
No, because your dog will be constantly trying to get to you, and as he/she can’t, they will be extremely stressed, and anxious and will not stay still. This will make the groom difficult and quite often impossible to complete. Please discuss any concerns you may have when you bring your dog in, and then quickly and fuss-free hand over your dog. If you prolong the process, your dog will pick up on your anxiety and become more stressed.
Most dogs suffer some degree of separation anxiety when their owner leaves them, but you will be pleased to know how quickly dogs settle down and are happy with their groomer after you’ve left. Please remember that it can be normal for some dogs to shake and tremble a little when they arrive, but if you don’t fuss, hand them over quickly and leave calmly, you will help them settle and relax.

Happy customers
I really enjoy working with my lovely customers and getting to know new dogs every day. But what I enjoy most is when my customers really like what I’ve done for them and have had a great experience too.
I just wanted to send a sincere thank you to Katie for making Jessica’s first visit a happy experience. I was thrilled with her new clip and look forward to our next visit.

This is Winston’s first time at a dog groomers as he is 15 weeks old. Katie took her time to make sure he felt comfortable, I am delighted with Winston’s groom and will be returning.
Tony Sykes
We are really pleased with the cut Eric has had with Katie. His is a shih tzu lhasa apso mix and his hair grows long quickly especially around his face and back end. He is also quite a stubborn lad and not a fan of water. Katie took her times so that he didn’t become anxious and he has returned home looking beautiful and tidy and smelling fabulous! Thankyou so much.

My French bulldog, Frankie has visited Bark N Bubbles for a deshed and pamper. He hates getting washed but Katie was so good with him and tried different ways of getting him dried as he’s terrified of the hair dryer – typical mad Frenchie! Would heartily recommend Katie and Bark n Bubbles.
